2023 Web Summit, at Lisbon

After the success of Collision Conference which happened on Toronto during June 26-29, 2023, the second conference of 2023, called Web Summit, is launched on Lisbon, capital city of Portugal from November 13 to 16, 2023. Yes, now it's on!

Current 2023 Web Summit is taking place at ALTICE ARENA & FIL of Lisbon, which is approximately 215,000 square meters — the equivalent of 1099 tennis courts, totally 16 stages and 2608 startups exhibitions.

2023 Web Summit draws 70,236 attendees from 153 countries (43 percent of attendees are women), including world class engineers, data scientists, designers, producers, entrepreneurs, investors, marketers, salespeople, multi-nationals and thought leaders, and more. Among attendees are 806 speakers (38 percent of speakers are women), 2,129 media members, 906 investors from 52 countries, and 321 partners. The event, except of daily diverse activities, includes 25 evening events.

Web Summit CEO Katherine Maher, Carlos Moedas Mayor at city of Lisbon, and Jimmy Wales founder Wikipedia, Antonio Costa Silva Prime Minister of Portugal threw their speeches for 2023 Web Summit Opening night, called "Celebration of Portugal" at 4pm to 8pm of its first day (Lisbon time).

The current President of Portugal， Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, as well serves as a speaker at current Web Summit.

Katherine Maher took to the stage in front of 11,000 people. As a new leader of this organization of incredibly committed staff, and as a long time advocate for technology as a driving force for good for humanity and society, Web Summit will continue to be the most important place to bring together and connect people and advance critical conversation about technology, society and innovation."
