Embrave开展徒步活动,为保护妇女儿童抗暴力筹集资金


今日,Embrave组织徒步活动,为保护妇女儿童抗暴力筹集资金。 

他们在宣传中倡导说,“为性别暴力幸存者行动起来!我们邀请您参加步行活动,筹集资金并提高人们的认识,共同行动起来,结束我们社区中的性别暴力 (gender-based violence-GBV)。”

Embrave消除暴力机构是一个充满活力的反暴力组织,是PCSWA(皮尔区反对虐待妇女委员会)的主要成员组织。为皮尔地区的幸存者提供庇护、咨询和宣传支持。下面是一些他们的服务项目。 

这是一年一度的活动,旨在提高人们对社区中持续存在的性别暴力问题的认识,并缅怀那些在暴力行为中丧生的人。今年是第十二届,活动筹集的所有资金将直接用于支持Embrave为社区中的性别暴力幸存者提供庇护、支持、咨询和宣传的工作。


今天的活动是5公里徒步,从密西沙加市的J.C. Saddington 公园沿着安大略湖的步道,到Brueckner Rhododendron Gardens来回。 

上午10点,参加者在起点----J.C. Saddington公园湖边集中,共有近八十来自不同组织的成员参加了这次活动。

徒步之前,Embrave的CEO Andrine Johnson等组织者进行了鼓动性和感谢性讲话,密市第1选区议员Stephen Dasko也到达现场给大家鼓动。



在Brueckner Rhododendron Gardens,他们进行了Rose Ceremony,纪念在抗暴中不幸离世的人。


下图是今年他们的筹集资金目标,已经完成目标了54%。

他们的统一服装颜色为紫色。

Today, Embrave organized a walk activity for fundraising to protect women and children against violence. 

They advocated in their campaigns that "Make your Move for Survivors of Gender-Based Violence! You're invited to walk, bike, or roll to raise funds and awareness as we move together to end gender-based violence (GBV) in our community.

Embrave is dynamic anti-violence Organization providing shelter, counselling, and advocacy supports to survivors in Peel Region Embrave Agency to End Violence is the PCSWA’s  (the Peel Committee Against Women Abuse) lead member organization.

This annual event aims to raise awareness about the continued issue of gender-based violence in our community and to remember those who have been killed in an act of violence. This is the twelfth year. All funds raised at this event will directly support Embrave’s work in providing shelter, support, counselling, & advocacy for survivors of gender-based violence in our community.

Today's event is a 5km hike, roundtrip from J.C. Saddington Park in Mississauga along the Lake Ontario Trail to Brueckner Rhododendron Gardens. 

At 10:00am, participants gathered at the starting point, J.C. Saddington Park of Ontario Lake, with nearly80members from a variety of organizations participating in the walk. 

Prior to the walk, organizers such as Embrave CEO Andrine Johnson gave a speech with encouragement and thanks, and Councilman Stephen Dasko, Councilman from Ward1of Mississauga, was also there to give a talk.

At their destination, Brueckner Rhododendron Gardens, they conducted a Rose Ceremony in memory of those who tragically lost their lives in against violence. 

This year they have reached 54% of their fundraising goal. 

Their uniform color is purple.
